Hooray! The Solar Eclipse Marathon website has undergone a face lift! We’ve created a bigger and better version with new features.

We’ve added loads of great photos of Port Douglas, Four Mile Beach and other images of the beautiful World Heritage listed area where the marathon will take place.

We’re very pleased to present new and LOWER prices starting from AUD 1990. The prices reflect the chosen accommodation, the Meet & Greet, Pasta Party, Celebration Dinner and the full-day Great Barrier Reef excursion where you can soak up some sun at sea and snorkel to your heart’s content!

For those of you who have already booked, don't worry. These prices apply to you too.

We're also presenting a series of films about The Solar Eclipse Marathon. Watch them here and have your first taste of this cosmic adventure.

You’ll get a chance to meet the team behind the event in another short video and check out a film showcasing all the great sights and sounds of Port Douglas. Stay tuned!

The Solar Eclipse Marathon is organised by Albatros Travel and Travelling Fit. A few words about the Albatros team. Rune Nortoft, Race Director and the International Sales & Event Manager Lars Fyhr, are both avid runners and travel the world arranging marathons and most importantly, RUNNING marathons!

Our Australian partner, Travelling Fit, is a specialist travel agency whose founder Mari-Mar Walton also shares Rune and Lars’ passion for running and is a keen marathoner herself. Mari-Mar is no stranger to the tough conditions of an Adventure Marathon and has conquered The Great Wall Marathon in China and braved lions and hippos at The Big Five Marathon in the African Savannah.

Organising the event with Albatros Travel and Travelling Fit, is Port Douglas Event Management; and Sam Cullen, the Managing Director is our local go-to guy for on destination arrangements.
