If you are travelling by air, Cairns International Airport is the closest airport to Port Douglas. A scenic one-hour drive is all it takes from the airport to the seaside village of Port Douglas. By rail

If you love road trips, then Australia is perfect for road adventures. The distance to Port Douglas from Brisbane is around 1700km and 2700km from Sydney. From Darwin and Melbourne, the distance is 2800km and 3100km respectively.
